Rock The Road Update
Rocks are SPRINGING up everywhere at Camp Agawam! 500 tons of aggregate arrived at Camp Agawam on May 6-7, 2008 by 10 gravel-haulers providing coverage from Birch Grove parking lot to the maintenance yard gate.
We still need more aggregate to finish the first phase of this project which is a total of one mile of road improvement. The Edw. C. Levy Company has given us the ability to do this project by selling us the aggregate at "rock-bottom" prices and by using their equipment and time to spread the aggregate. Thank you to all who have helped with this project so far:

Camp Agawam Turns 90!
In 1918 a group of great leaders had a vision to provide a camping experience to their youth. Little did they know that this vision would last 90 years and still be going strong. Camp Agawam is the 11th oldest operational Boy Scout Camp in the United States. The members of Clinton Valley Council are very lucky to own a piece of history that is so close.
If you haven't camped at Camp Agawam lately you are missing out on a great experience.
To help commemorate this milestone the Clinton Valley Council is issuing three limited edition Council Shoulder Patch (CSP's). Sliver Border $15, Bronze Border $25 and Full Mylar $50. Get a look at the CSP's on the Camp Agawam web page.

From the Registrar
If you have not yet turned in your merit badge counselor renewal letter please note that we will be accepting them until May 15. After that date you will have to fill out an information sheet and an adult application to be reinstated. We are giving you a few more days. If you did not receive a letter please contact the registrar at 248-338-0035 ext. 113. If you have registered recently you will be receiving a renewal letter shortly. We need you to reregister even though you just signed up because all merit badge counselor registrations will expire on 5/31/08. Thank you to all who have responded.

Making eList Changes
At the bottom of every eList there is a link that says, "To stop receiving future emails click here to remove yourself from selected lists." However, it will do more for you than remove yourself from the eList. It will also allow you to change what eLists you will receive each week.
This is particularly important for all of the parents and leaders who will be moving on to another unit in the fall. If your son is crossing over into a troop, or if your son or daughter is going to be joining a crew or post, this is a great time to add on to the eLists you are getting. Just click the link at the bottom of this eList and make the changes you want.
